17 easy vegetarian breakfast ideas that aren’t eggs to inspire your mornings! Delicious 5-star vegetarian recipes to kickstart your day.

If the blog is a bit deficient in dinner recipes, it’s only because vegetarian breakfast recipes consume my thoughts at all times. For the breakfast people in the audience, you know what I’m talking about.
Like sometimes I get a little sad after breakfast because I know I have to wait a whole day until next breakfast (unless, of course, I can think of a good excuse to have breakfast for dinner) (I obvs have an arsenal of excuses at the ready).
So in the interest of filling your arsenal with easy breakfast ideas, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite vegetarian breakfast ideas!
And because there are enough breakfast recipes centered around eggs out there, these recipes are all something other than eggs! While some do contain eggs, they are not the focus of the dish. Many are vegan and/or gluten-free, but they’re all easy and delicious. The best meal of the day starts now.

- ¼ cup nutritional yeast 20 g

- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ¼ tsp salt
- Pinch black pepper
Instructions
- Prep: Wrap the tofu in a few layers of paper towels and gently squeeze out excess moisture.
- Cook: Heat oil in a large saute pan over medium/high. Use your hands to crumble the tofu into the pan (you can use your spatula to break up the bigger pieces as it cooks). Thank you so much for these breakfast ideas! I’m lacto-veg (I don’t like the taste of eggs), and I tire of seeing so many scrambled egg recipes when it’s not an option for me. I’m looking forward to giving some of these a shot!!

These are not all egg-free, nor list a non-egg substitute
Sarah says
Oof! 🤦🏼♀️ Thanks for pointing that out Liv. The original intention of the article was to provide vegetarian breakfast ideas that weren’t centered around eggs (i.e. fried, scrambled, or boiled eggs). But the verbiage certainly doesn’t reflect that. Changed the wording to be more clear, thanks again! ❤️

I noticed that your website UI has a potential synchronization issue with the interface and clarity. The “slick-heartbeat” animation may have the context that the button is being pressed. There was also a moment where I saw what seemed like a username/alias on the website, similar to Google Documents where users can interact and work on a project together.
I’d recommend a typical icon such as “?” or something akin to that. Perhaps red/green, on/off, sad/happy, to show the difference between a click and non-click. The animation gives off the idea that there are more likes than what there actually are (2,004 at the moment). Much lower than i’d expect based on the content, though I suppose it’s a common story that recipes are “top secret”. I’d recommend considering interacting with slipstream about the matter (or your website administrator/creator). Perhaps the animation could be played after being clicked (such as heart fireworks going off, or something akin to that).
