This smoothie is a celebration of one of the most delicious fruits…mango! Similar to our 2-ingredient pineapple smoothie, this mango smoothie truly lets that delicious mango flavor shine.

This particular smoothie might just win the “Easiest Recipe on Live Eat Learn Ever” award. It only uses three ingredients (and if you’re using pre-frozen mangos, it’s ready in less than a minute). Using fresh mangos will still be quick; you’ll just have to stick your fruit in the freezer for a bit!

Here’s What You’ll Need

We’re keeping things as simple as possible with just three ingredients. You’ll need a mango, your favorite Greek yogurt, and some milk! Jump to the recipe card for the measurements – this is just an overview!

  • Mango: For the mango portion of this recipe, you’ll need 1 cup of diced fruit, either fresh or frozen. Any mango variety will work well!
  • Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt adds protein to the smoothie and adds thickness too! Go for ½ cup of either plain or vanilla.
  • Milk: Finish it off with ½ cup of a liquid! I prefer milk here, but you could use orange juice, coconut water, or plant-based milk.

Sarah’s Tip

I prefer using frozen fruit for making smoothies, especially for this one! Perfectly ripe mango can be difficult to find most of the year, not to mention expensive! Buying frozen mango ensures it’s at peak ripeness, it’s often more affordable, and it makes for a frosty smoothie! Triple whammy.

Ready in no time

Any recipe that calls for just two steps is a winner in my book.

  1. Prep the ingredients: Peel and dice the mango, then set it on a plate and freeze for about 30 minutes. This will help it chill, which will contribute to the smoothie’s frosty consistency. Alternatively, you can use pre-frozen mango pieces (this is often more affordable than ripe mango anyway).
  2. Blend everything together: Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth and mixed. Enjoy!

Make it vegan

If you’re interested in veganizing this smoothie, it’s easy! Instead of using traditional Greek yogurt, go for a dairy-free option instead. I love coconut yogurt here for the subtle tropical flavor it brings. In terms of milk, you can substitute regular milk with your favorite dairy-free alternative, such as orange juice or even coconut water!

Smoothie variations

As with most fruity smoothies, you can add flavors and ingredients to make this mango smoothie your own!

  • Different Fruit: I love replacing some of the frozen mango with frozen pineapple or strawberry.
  • Spice It Up: Add honey and spices to make it a cheater’s Mango Lassi.
  • Boost The Nutrition: With protein powder, chia seeds, or flax. The options are endless!
  • Make It Creamsicle: Like we do in our orange creamsicle smoothie, add a splash of vanilla extract to make this smoothie taste like dessert!

That frosty texture is made possible thanks to the frozen mango (no ice cubes here watering down our smoothie)!

    Very refreshing!

  2. Amanda says:

I made this recipe and it tasted simply of yogurt, and no mango. Unfortunately, I didn’t have more mango so I couldn’t add more. It also came out lumpy even though I blended it well and for a long time. However, it was fairly easy and quick to make.

Very very tasty and simple. I added almonds, flaxseed, a splash of bay, and increased the milk to 1 cup.
