What you’ll need

Pineapple smoothie is the name, and the game is keeping the ingredients short and sweet. Depending on how you want to make it, this recipe can have as few as two ingredients! Jump down to the recipe card for exact measurements, this is just an overview!

  • Pineapple: Fresh or canned pineapple both work well here!
  • Coconut Water: Smoothies require some liquid, so throw in a bit of coconut water! You can also use milk or coconut milk.
  • Ice: This will give your smoothie that perfect frosted consistency.

No Ice?

Alternatively, to avoid using ice and risking a melted, watered-down smoothie, just freeze the pineapple! Let the pineapple chill in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before blending. Then, skip the ice!

Change It Up

  • Piña Colada: For the 21+ crowd, try adding a bit of rum to this smoothie.
  • Taste the Tropics: To amp up the tropical vibes, add 1 cup of mango, 1 banana, or ½ cup of passion fruit pulp.
  • Strawberry: These add the perfect amount of sweetness to complement the tart pineapple.
  • Green Smoothie: You can also add kale or spinach for a nutrient-dense smoothie.
  • Make It Creamy: To make this smoothie ultra-creamy, add ½ cup of plain or vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt!
