Broccoli Recipes

One cup of broccoli has the calories of only 1/10th of a Snickers bar. Okay, so that isn’t an either/or choice you are apt to make, but broccoli does provide over 100% of the RDA for  vitamins C and K as well as a healthy dose of fiber and protein. 

Choose broccoli heads with tight green florets and firm stalks. Broccoli should feel heavy for its size. Avoid broccoli with dried or browning stem ends or yellowing florets. Store broccoli unwashed in an open plastic bag in the refrigerator for up to 10 days. There are numerous varieties of broccoli to include the stunning Romanesco, so pick a broccoli recipe and get cooking. 

And, broccoli is oh so flexible whether you want to try Broccoli Pizza, Broccoli Pesto, or Broccoli Salad, this veggie rarely disappoints.
