South America

I first traveled to South America while sailing with Semester at Sea. After 12 days of nothing but open water from Cape Town, we were greeted with the wonderful, colorful city of Buenos Aires.

We were timid in Argentina, sticking close to the capital, but by the time we reached Rio, Brazil, we’d picked up some of that South American confidence and charisma, and were ready to explore.

I returned to South America a few years later, this time taking on much of Peru and an insy piece of Bolivia (and picking up a tulip-man along the way). South America is wild, musical, colorful, and free.
