- Banana: Freeze your banana slices ahead of time to make this lime smoothie cold and frosty.
- Yogurt: Plain Greek yogurt makes this smoothie rich and creamy. You could also add a dollop of cream cheese or cottage cheese for a more decadent cheesecake smoothie.

- 1 banana, sliced and frozen
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt, 130 g, or dairy-free alternative
- ¼ cup key or regular lime juice, 60 mL
- 1 Tbsp honey, 15 mL, or sweetener of choice
- ½ tsp finely grated lime zest
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract, 1.2 mL

I just made this and it is really good. Usually a banana in a smoothy overpowers everything else but the lime juice was perfect and lime is definitely the aftertaste. Even though it has yogurt in it, it feels very light. It’s a winner.

Truly, thank you so much. I have ulcerative colitis AND a gastric sleeve AND I’m vegetarian, so finding healthy, but low fiber, high protein, but a complete protein AND low fiber (I miss quinoa so much)… well, it’s a pain. But smoothies make it easy and affordable! I can always add unflavored or whatever flavor protein powder, and it’s supposed to be thick!

The Vegan version of this smoothie tastes absolutely dreadful. After a few bites I threw it away. Such a waste of money.

Judy, I just made this, so delicious! I am wondering if the vegan yogurt you used was already sweetened or had a flavour? If so the addition of banana and another sweetener would make it sickly sweet! Also if agave was used to replace honey, would need less of it, but I’m sure you already know that.
