Tis the season for pumpkin-spiced everything! This easy pumpkin smoothie is packed with all the autumn flavors and coffee (yes, coffee!) to get you going in the morning. It’s like a pumpkin-spiced latte meets smoothie perfection.
And for maximum fall vibes, pair this smoothie with Pumpkin Oatmeal or a bowl of Pumpkin Granola!

There should be a cardinal rule of fall that goes something like “thou shalt not be ashamed of consuming pumpkin spice-flavored everything”.
Because there is only one short time per year when it’s acceptable to pumpkin spice-itize your coffee / cocoa / toothpaste / everything, we should do so unashamed.
So today, I’m sharing a pumpkin smoothie that combines all the flavors of your favorite fall latte in smoothie form!

The main Ingredients
- Pumpkin: Pumpkin puree is the foundation of this smoothie. Be sure to go for pure pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie puree, which has a whole lot of added sugar and flavorings.
- Coffee: Then we have the coffee, a welcomed addition for those sleepy fall mornings.
- Banana: Frozen banana adds natural sweetness and frostiness (because we’re using frozen banana instead of ice!)
- Flavors: pPmpkin pie spices and maple syrup transform it into a true pumpkin spice smoothie.

Do you have to add the banana? My stomach does not like them!
Nope, you can leave that out if you’d like!
Can I leave out the coffee?
Yes!
What can you substitute for the coffee?
You could just replace it with equal parts milk!
One of my new favorite smoothie recipes!
I make hot pumpkin lattes often with pumpkin purée, vanilla almond milk and pumpkin spices. Delicious. I mix it in my coffee in the morning, and make it without coffee later in the day.
Love this!! ! Like drinking pumpkin pie but better
So happy to hear it, Sus! Enjoy! 😀
As written, I felt the consistency of this smoothie was too watery. I added 4 frozen coffee cubes(I make these out of leftover coffee) and just 1/2 cup milk. If it’s too thick for the blender then I add additional splashes of brewed coffee to get things moving. Otherwise flavors are delicious!
Thanks for the reminder to season up my morning smoothie! I made a version which subbed the coffee for protein powder and it was so yummy. (No shade to the coffee, I just keep forgetting to make some cold brew.) I’ve used vanilla and chocolate powders, and they are both good. New to your blog. Happy to have found you!
So happy you found the site, Kim! Happy pumpkin season! 😀
I was happy to find a use for my leftover pumpkin from the pumpkin granola recipe. This drink rivals the sweet potato smoothie, and adds the extra kick of coffee – definitely a win!
So glad it hit the spot, thanks for sharing!
I plan to make the pumpkin smoothie in the morning.
