There should be a cardinal rule of fall that goes something like “thou shalt not be ashamed of consuming pumpkin spice-flavored everything”.

Because there is only one short time per year when it’s acceptable to pumpkin spice-itize your coffee / cocoa / toothpaste / everything, we should do so unashamed.

So today, I’m sharing a pumpkin smoothie that combines all the flavors of your favorite fall latte in smoothie form!

A blender pours a creamy pumpkin smoothie into a textured glass. A small pumpkin, a spoon with puree, and cinnamon sticks are nearby on a white surface with a teal background.

The main Ingredients

  • Pumpkin: Pumpkin puree is the foundation of this smoothie. Be sure to go for pure pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie puree, which has a whole lot of added sugar and flavorings.
  • Coffee: Then we have the coffee, a welcomed addition for those sleepy fall mornings.
  • Banana: Frozen banana adds natural sweetness and frostiness (because we’re using frozen banana instead of ice!)
  • Flavors: pPmpkin pie spices and maple syrup transform it into a true pumpkin spice smoothie.
A delightful pumpkin smoothie in the making: banana slices, orange chunks, and a spoonful of brown powder in a blender viewed from above.

What can I use instead of banana? They are a migraine trigger for me. Can I use honey instead of maple syrup?

    1. Sarah Bond says:

Hi Jodi! You could replace the banana with vanilla yogurt for the same creamy sweetness, and yes you should be able to use honey instead of maple syrup!
