“This made for a great weekday snack! I’m a sweet-aholic and always find myself seeking out chocolate or something sweet to satisfy that craving, and these did it! I froze about two big pans of them then transferred to a bowl to be kept in the freezer. Anytime I wanted a snack I would grab a handful.” —Tiffany R

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Blueberries: I love fresh blueberries for this recipe because they freeze into perfect bite-sized pieces (for more storage information, check out our blueberries 101 guide). You could also use grapes, quartered strawberries, or virtually any bite-sized fruit (like diced mango, kiwi, or watermelon).
  • Yogurt: You can use any yogurt you have on hand here! I prefer yogurt with some sweetness (like vanilla or berry-flavored) rather than plain Greek yogurt.

Making This Treat Is So Easy

  1. Prep a baking sheet or plate by lining it with parchment or wax paper.
  2. Dip each berry in your yogurt of choice and freeze on the tray until solid.
  3. Store them in a freezer-safe bag for easy, refreshing snacks!

Transfer the dipped berries to the parchment-lined baking sheet or plate, then pop them in the freezer! These don’t take long to freeze, just an hour or so.

Recipe Tips

Berry Blast: Add a sprinkle of crushed freeze-dried berries on the yogurt before freezing for an extra berry flavor and a pop of color.

Twice As Nice: For a super thick and decadent coating, dip your fruit, freeze it, and dip again. Mix it up with two different flavors for a unique spin.

Power Up: Opt for Greek yogurt to give your frozen yogurt covered blueberries a protein-packed boost.

Tropical Twist: Use coconut yogurt and sprinkle the bites with shredded coconut for a tropical treat.

    2. Kat says:

Have you (or anyone) tried it with strawberries and cherries? If so, how are they? Do they turn out as good as the blueberries?

    3. Sarah says:

Hi, Kat! I haven’t tried it with other fruits, but I would think they’d work. Perhaps just cut the cherries and strawberries in half before dipping in yogurt 🙂

    4. Lexi says:

hi I have a question! How long would this be good for in a airtight container left in the freezer? I know yogurt spoils so would it last a month or more?

    5. Sarah Bond says:

The colder the freezer the longer it’ll last! But usually I keep them for up to 1 month.

Mmm, how long can they be outside the freezer?

    1. Sarah says:

They soften pretty quickly, within 30 minutes of so. Not great for taking with you to work or school, more for snacking at home! 🙂

I used whole fat plain Greek yogurt with 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract and 3 drops of organic Stevia. Keeps me in ketosis as well as healthier. Thanks for the idea.

    1. Sarah says:

That all sounds so great, Patricia! Glad you could make it work for your keto eating 😀
