Bell peppers contain as much vitamin C as oranges but come with less than half the calories!
Choose firm, brightly colored peppers with tight skin that feel heavy for their size. Refrigerate your peppers in plastic bags for use within five days. Numerous colorful pepper recipes are possible with the wide variety of colors available. Green, yellow, orange, and red are the most common, but purple, lavender, white, and brown are also available.
