Just 3 Ingredients

These chocolate stirrers come together with just three ingredients you probably already have on hand. (Jump down to the recipe card for exact measurements!)

  • Chocolate Chips or Chunks: Use your favorite here…dark, dairy-free, or semi-sweet.
  • Coconut Oil: A small amount helps the chocolate coat evenly and gives it a glossy finish.
  • Cinnamon Sticks: Not just decorative; these add a warm, festive flavor to your drinks.

Shopping Tip

Cinnamon sticks are usually in the spice aisle near the baking goods. For a budget-friendly option, check bulk bins or international grocery stores!

Ingredients needed to make cinnamon chocolate stirrers

Ready In 15 Minutes

  1. Melt the Chocolate: Microwave chocolate chips with coconut oil in short bursts until smooth (stir between intervals to avoid scorching).
  2. Dip the Sticks: Coat half of each cinnamon stick in the melted chocolate and lay them on parchment paper.
  3. Harden: Chill in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes until the chocolate sets.
  4. Enjoy or Gift: Use these stirrers to elevate your hot drinks or package them in a cute jar or bag for gifting.

Change It Up

  • Peppermint Bark: Use white chocolate instead, then sprinkle crushed peppermint candies for a festive twist.
  • Vanilla Swirl: Add a tiny splash of vanilla extract to the melted chocolate for a subtle, sweet enhancement.
  • Cinnamon Sugar Crunch: After dipping, sprinkle a mix of cinnamon and sugar onto the chocolate to amplify the cinnamon flavor without overpowering the drink.
  • Double Mocha: Stir instant espresso powder into the melted chocolate for a double dose of coffee flavor.

  • Serve: Stir into cocoa or coffee and enjoy! (The amount of chocolate on these isn't quite enough to turn a cup of milk into hot cocoa, so use them to enhance hot cocoa or to flavor coffee.)

What to use instead of coconut oil?

You can just omit it! It just adds a little shine to the chocolate.
