you just need a few ingredients

  • Naan: You can make your very own naan bread or use store-bought.
  • The Toppings: I keep it simple with just pizza sauce, mozzarella, and shredded parmesan (or cheddar).
Three pieces of naan bread, a bowl of tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese arranged on a dark surface. Labels identify each ingredient.
Prebaking will toast up our naan so that it can support our pizza toppings without going all flimsy.

Instructions

  • Prep: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Once hot, place naan directly on the racks and cook for 2 minutes. Flip carefully with tongs, then cook for another 2 minutes. Remove naan from the oven.
Four pieces of naan bread are arranged on a metal baking tray, displayed on a green textured surface.
  • Assemble: Spread 2 Tbsp of sauce onto each naan, followed by ¼ cup of mozzarella and 2 Tbsp of either cheddar or parmesan.
A baking sheet with naan bread being topped with tomato sauce, next to bowls of shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, and extra tomato sauce on a green surface.
  • Bake: Carefully place naan directly on the oven racks and bake for 4 to 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
Two baking trays with uncooked mini pizzas topped with tomato sauce and shredded cheese on a dark green surface.
  • Serve: Allow to cool slightly, then cut into slices and top with fresh basil and crushed pepper.

Notes

Storage: You can store any leftover pizza in the fridge in an air tight container for up to 4 days. To reheat it, pop it in the oven or air fryer to make it crispy again.
Can I make it in advance? This pizza is best made and eaten right away. The best part is the crispy naan bread and if this is made in advance, it will get soggy.
Using vegetables: I don’t recommend using fresh or raw vegetables because there isn’t a long enough bake time to cook them. Stick to using only roasted or pre-cooked vegetables.

For me, toasting the Naan before adding the rest of the ingredients
resulted in an overdone crust. Sorry, this recipe is not a keeper.

This is a quick and beloved dinner in my house with hubby is on business trips. I let my kiddos make their own. It is also a super easy weekend lunch.

  5. Martha L. says:

I fried my veggies that I wanted extra. Mushroom, red bell pepper, onion, ham and put them on after the cheeses. Then added a little more mozzerella & cooked for 4 -5 more minutes. Btw I used my air fryer for each step. I then let it cool for 4 minutes and it was great! So fast and easy. Saving this recipe for camping. It’s that good and easy.😁

What temp was your air fryer set at? I want to use several veggies (mushrooms, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, garlic), and I’m not sure if I need to saute any of these first or just put the naan pizza in the air fryer.
      Thank you!
