Dive into making your very own naan bread or grab some at the store, and let’s get started!
How to make naan pizza
It couldn’t be simpler unless it made itself! This naan pizza recipe can be made with your eyes closed. Just brown the bread, assemble the ingredients, and bake! The whole shebang takes only 15 minutes, and that includes the baking time.
Step 1: Brown the naan
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Once hot, place the naan directly on the racks and cook for 2 minutes. Flip carefully with tongs, and then cook for another 2 minutes. Remove the naan from the oven. This will toast up our naan so that it can support our pizza toppings without going all flimsy.
Step 2: Assemble the ingredients
Spread 2 tablespoons of sauce onto each naan, followed by ¼ cup of mozzarella and 2 tablespoons of either shredded cheddar or parmesan. (I love using cheddar because it tastes like Boston’s famous Lynwood Pizza!)
Step 3: Bake the pizza
Carefully place the naan directly on the oven racks and bake for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
Step 4: Serve
Allow to cool slightly, and then cut into slices and top with fresh basil and crushed pepper.

Now for the fun part… the naan pizza topping ideas! Depending on your mood and what your kitchen has in stock, use these combos as your guides for creating the best naan pizzas around. Do-it-yourself pizza topping bar, anyone?!
Mediterranean
This first option is just as refreshing as it is delicious! Add feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and kalamata olives for a Mediterranean pizza.
Mexican
Go with a Mexican style pizza by adding a Mexican cheese blend, diced tomatoes, and diced jalapeños! You could even add Street Corn Salad – it makes a delicious topping!
Caprese
Go the classic Caprese route by adding pesto and tomatoes. You could also skip the shredded mozzarella and use fresh slices instead!
Three Cheese
In the mood for extra cheese? Create a three cheese pizza by layering on the mozzarella, cheddar, and a third cheese of your choice. Pepperjack, parmesan, romano, or asiago make great options!
Vegetarian Pepperoni
Stick with classic cheese and pepperoni with this delicious Seitan Pepperoni topping. It’s to die for!

For me, toasting the Naan before adding the rest of the ingredients
resulted in an overdone crust. Sorry, this recipe is not a keeper.

I fried my veggies that I wanted extra. Mushroom, red bell pepper, onion, ham and put them on after the cheeses. Then added a little more mozzerella & cooked for 4 -5 more minutes. Btw I used my air fryer for each step. I then let it cool for 4 minutes and it was great! So fast and easy. Saving this recipe for camping. It’s that good and easy.😁

What temp was your air fryer set at? I want to use several veggies (mushrooms, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, garlic), and I’m not sure if I need to saute any of these first or just put the naan pizza in the air fryer.
Thank you!
