Baked bananas with cinnamon and yogurt.

Option 1: Halved Baked Bananas

Cut each banana in half lengthwise, keeping the peel on. Sprinkle the exposed banana with cinnamon and, for an extra touch, slather almond butter and/or honey. Place the banana halves on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes until tender. Let them cool slightly before serving warm, and you can even top them with yogurt or whipped cream for an irresistible treat!

DIY Almond Butter

Pro tip! Make your own almond butter easily at home to save money and add whatever flavors you want (cocoa almond butter would be delicious with this one!)

Option 2: Stuffed Baked Bananas

Leave the peel on the bananas and slice halfway through lengthwise, widening the pocket with your finger. Sprinkle with cinnamon and stuff with almond butter and/or honey for added flavor. Wrap the bananas in aluminum foil and bake for approximately 15 minutes until they become tender. Let them cool slightly before enjoying these delicious and gooey treats!

Doesn’t it just satisfy that sweet tooth so perfectly? We also relied on these when we cut out sugar and sweets 😀

  2. Read says:

Hi there, do these need to be eaten warm? Are they suitable to bring to a potluck? Thank you!

    1. Sarah says:

Hi Read! These are best warm, so I’m not sure they would be best for bringing to a potluck (especially because they can also get a little messy). Better for a personal snack or treat!

  3. Lisa says:

What ripeness of banana do you suggest using?
    Thanks

    1. Sarah Bond says:

Between a little unripe and perfectly ripe! Over ripe will get very mushy when cooked.
