Hereโs How It Went:
- Cook the Beyond Burgers: I heated a lightly oiled skillet over medium-high, broke up the Beyond Meat patties, and seasoned with salt and pepper. In about 4 minutes, the crumbles were browned and caramelized.
- Sautรฉ the Brussels Sprouts: Next, I cooked the Brussels with a little oil, salt, and pepper. The instructions emphasized stirring minimally for better browningโand they were right. After 5-6 minutes, they were golden and tender.
- Warm the Rice: A quick 2-minute stir in the pan with a splash of water, and the rice was warm and fluffy.
- Bring It All Together: I added the Beyond crumbles and Brussels sprouts back to the skillet, stirred in the sesame ginger sauce, and let everything warm through.



My Verdict?
- Cook time: While the recipe is designed to be a quick 15-minute meal, it took me a little longer to get a good char on the Brussels sproutsโlikely because I doubled the recipe and crowded the pan. That said, the process was still straightforward and low-effort, and with a little extra patience, the Brussels turned out perfectly golden and crisp.
- Flavor: The sesame ginger sauce added a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, while the Brussels sprouts brought a nice crispiness.
- Portion size: Generous for four servings, and I even had leftovers for the next day.
