Africa

I had the opportunity to travel to Africa through Semester at Sea in the fall of 2013. I explored rural neighborhoods with local kids in Ghana, saw the big 5 on a South African safari, and got dreadful food poisoning in Morocco (hence why there are no photos/stories from there). Africa was hot, hectic, humbling, widely varying, and unlike anything I’d ever experienced

A group of zebras grazes peacefully in a grassy landscape near Cape Town, with rolling hills and a clear sky providing a picturesque backdrop.

Cape Town, South Africa

In a vibrant market stall in Ghana, a person skillfully balances a large bowl on their head, surrounded by colorful textiles and various goods. Overhead, a bamboo roof offers comforting shade.
