Welcome to Live Eat Learn, where we’re all about easy vegetarian recipes that anyone can cook!
I know what it feels like to be bored and clueless in the kitchen. You want to eat more vegetarian but don’t know what to cook, so you settle for the same few things every week. Sound familiar?
Together we’re taking on this lack of inspiration to create something delicious!
Our Origins
Live Eat Learn got its start in 2014. Sarah, fresh out of college after studying human nutrition for 4 years, realized she knew everything about the health aspects of food, but had no idea how to actually cook.
This site started as a creative outlet documenting Sarah’s journey in learning to cook but has evolved into one of the leading vegetarian food blogs on the web, with over 1000 rigorously tested vegetarian recipes feeding 10 million readers every year.
Here’s How It Works
Every week we feature a new ingredient – carrots, quinoa, cauliflower, you name it! We’ll dive into the basics of that ingredient, then we’ll cook up delicious, easy vegetarian recipes with that ingredient. Ready to start exploring? Check out our past Featured Ingredients or head straight to the Eats!
About The Recipes
My Bachelor’s in Nutrition opened me up to the world of cooking and health, but I realized I was cooking the same things every week. So I started Live Eat Learn with the hopes of breaking from my inspiration-less norms. Plunging myself into new ingredients every week, along with eventually studying for my Master’s in Sensory Science (a type of Food Science), taught me everything I know and love about food!
Recipe Testing
I test each of the recipes published on Live Eat Learn until I believe they will work in any kitchen, then I take photos and video to show you exactly how to make it! If you ever have an issue with a recipe, please leave a comment on the recipe page. I personally check comments daily and will respond quickly to help you troubleshoot. “I was freakishly impressed with the recipes but it wasn’t until I read a bit on the ‘Live’ section that I worked out why, they are yours, they are unique and they are healthy. We’re trying to eat healthy and find we’re eating less and less meat and your site just has me drooling and planning.” – Steve

Meet The Team
We have a small team behind Live Eat Learn who help to get you fresh vegetarian recipes every week – from social media to assisting in writing and research!
Sarah Bond
Founder
I’m Sarah Bond, vegetarian food blogger and creator of Live Eat Learn. I’m the chief recipe developer and photographer here on the site. I graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition, then kept that wild love of food going by earning my Master’s Degree in Sensory Science. Put simply, I just love food. When I’m not making or thinking about food, I’m probably out in the foothills of Denver, skiing or hiking with my pup, Rhubarb.

A certified personal trainer with a passion for nutrition, George enjoys researching and writing many helpful articles on Live Eat Learn, from common conversions to variety guides. Mitch and Justine are the dynamic duo behind many of our “how to” articles, teaching you fundamentals of vegetarian cooking. Both former registered nurses from Canada, they now live abroad and run their food blog Broke Bank Vegan. When they’re not in the kitchen, you can catch them traveling, scuba diving, and (most importantly) eating.

Frequent Questions
Can I use your photos or recipes on my site?
Thanks for asking! I work really hard to develop recipes and create content. If you’d like to share a recipe, feel free to use 1 photo with a link back to the original post. If you’d like to repost the recipe, please drop me a note and we can talk about it!
Why do you have advertisements on your website?
I know ads can be annoying, but without them, I wouldn’t be able to run Live Eat Learn. Having ads on this site helps to cover blog expenses (like web hosting, photo equipment, and groceries), and is my only source of income!
If you ever spot an ad that is inappropriate or offensive, please click “Report this ad” on the bottom right of the ad and we’ll work on getting it removed.
Do you have a cookbook?
Yes! In 2019 I released my first (and only, so far!) cookbook, For the Love of Popsicles.
Where are you based?
I’m a Denver food blogger, though I spent 5 years living and cooking from my small kitchen in The Netherlands, where Live Eat Learn really got started.
How can I get in touch with you?
Feel free to send me an email at sarah@liveeatlearn.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Or find me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or TikTok!
Please note, we do not accept guest posts or paid links. For more information on working with us in a paid capacity, please see our collaborations page.
